Mulkirigala is a nearby rock temple which has a little bit of Dumbulla and a little bit of Sigiriya with a very relaxing atmosphere. During your climb to the top of this black rock you pass 7 caves with reclining and standing Buddha statues. On top is a small dagoba and you get fantastic views of the surrounding country. It is a nice 16 km drive through rice paddies and villages easiest done by Tuk Tuk.
